'Drapers, formerly Drapers Record, was founded on 6 August 1887 as a magazine for the women’s clothing retail trade. It is now the leading weekly business-to-business magazine covering the fashion retail sector.' Drapers is essential for fashion enthusiasts. Drapers explores the latest fashion news, fashion jobs, international catwalks and key fashion trends. It is jam-packed with lots of information surrounding the fashion industry that is very useful for those interested in this area. 

I follow Drapers regularly on twitter, as well as getting emails through with the daily news/headlines as well as fashion alerts from Drapers, but you usually have to subscribe to get the full story, luckily enough we have Drapers in the library at school so this has become a very useful tool for me. 

 I have been researching with Drapers for my professional project for initial research, it was extremely useful as I was looking at the Recession and how it effects businesses and it gave me a good insight into what was happening and being done to try and survive through. Obviously the Recession is almost a swear word to a company, and when I sent out various questionnaires to high street stores, the response was less than pleasing, so it is a sore point, and Drapers gives you an insight to the real world of fashion.

Drapers offers a full rounded view on the fashion industry as well as job searches and opportunities that are readily available to any candidate, you can upload your CV online to see if you fit the bill, or for other companies to find you. As an almost graduated student, I'm sure if I am struggling to find a job from searching the stores, that this will be coming into play.
